Jorge Piedra has been optioned to CSprings. Basically, this will be his Spring Training. Piedra led the Majors last year, batting .455 in Pinch Hitting situations.
Clint Barmes will miss the first 2 games of the homestand, as he will be attending a funeral. Expect to see Jamey Carroll and Jason Smith picking up the slack.
